As a knowledge manager migrating to Seed Hypermedia, I want to import my existing documents and immediately understand the structure of my content, so I can confidently navigate, organize, and extend my knowledge base.

The sidebar and table serve different roles — they don't need to mirror each other. The question is how these 2 elements connect.
Sidebar: navigation structure, how content is organized spatially — folders, hierarchy.
Table: data view (a flat query pulling all documents regardless of where they sit, with filterable attributes)

I like something like Create a New Document, with the option of Create a New Smart Document. A Smart Document would be a List/Database document.
